The Briton is one of the defining figures of tech-trance. From the early 2000s he built Discover Records into the label that set the direction for a whole generation of that sound, and gave names like John O'Callaghan and Sean Tyas their first large audience. He went on to run Perfecto and Perfecto Fluoro for many years. Today he is behind VII, one of the most independent-minded labels in the scene, which has had its own stage at Tomorrowland. What Askew is best known for, though, are his extended sets. Open to close, three hours, six hours, and once seven straight in Buenos Aires. That is exactly what Zurich gets: an exclusive three-hour extended set, this night only. No warm-up slot, no clock to watch, just the full arc from driving tech-trance to wherever he decides to take the floor at the end.
